Music Hall MMF-3.3 SE Dual-Plinth Turntable with Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge (Walnut Veneer)
Music Hall is pleased to introduce its first entry-level table utilizing the unique dual-plinth technology. The mmf-3.3se embodies the culmination of over 30 years of research, development, and most important of all, listening. The 3-speed belt driven table was developed for those seeking a perfectly matched set of features with an uncompromising focus on sound performance. The 3.3se is constructed using high quality components and comes complete with a tonearm, cartridge mounted, and dust cover.
Speed Control
The 3.3se has a built-in electronic speed control for 33/45/and 78. The platter speed switches from 33 to 45 rpm at the touch of a button. 78 rpm requires the movement of the belt to a different location on the motor pulley, and the use of a different belt included with the turntable.
Carbon Fiber Arm with Bonded Alloy Headshell
This tonearm is unique to music hall. Bonding the alloy headshell to the carbon arm-tube stiffens and dampens the carbon fiber tube. This construction significantly improves the sound and performance over similar looking one-piece carbon arms. The alloy headshell allows you to securely mount the cartridge to the tonearm without the twist and flex that is common in lesser one-piece carbon arms. Tonearms should not twist/flex as this negatively impacts the cartridge and the tonearm’s ability to properly track the record groove. On many one-piece carbon tonearms, you can literally pinch the cartridge end of the arm between your thumb and forefinger and twist/flex the arm-tube. Try this with the music hall and the tonearm remains rigid as your fingers begin to ache.
PreSonus 4.5-Inch 2-Way Active Studio Monitors
PreSonus Eris-series studio monitors are used worldwide by audio engineers who need to hear every detail of their recordings. Ideal for music lovers, content creators, and gamers, Eris E4.5 media reference monitors deliver the same studio-quality sound and accurate frequency response that professional Eris-series studio monitors are known for, in an elegant, compact form ideal for home use. Features like onboard EQ controls and an integrated headphone amplifier make it easy to adjust your Eris E4.5 monitors to taste for a customized listening experience.
Clean Overall Sound, Smooth High-End, and A Wide Sweet Spot
Every Eris-series studio monitor utilizes a woven composite low-frequency driver. The weave and nature of the Eris E4.5 speakers’ 4.5-inch woofer result in tight bass that you can feel, as well as a cleaner overall sound. The one-inch silk-dome tweeter produces a smooth and refined sound, accurately reproducing transients and high frequencies. The tweeter is designed to radiate sound with a fairly wide pattern, creating a large optimal listening area, or sweet spot, so you can move around and still hear an accurate stereo image. With 25 watts per side of onboard power, Eris 4.5 monitor speakers pack a serious punch, while still delivering clear, accurate audio.
Easy-to-Use Controls
A speaker’s response is affected by where you place it and the acoustics of your space. That’s why Eris E4.5 active media reference monitors offer controls to adjust the high- and low-frequency content, ensuring that your speakers always sound their best. A convenient front-panel volume knob sets both the speaker level and the integrated headphone amplifier’s level.
Flexible Input Options
With three different types of audio inputs, it’s easy to feed audio to your Eris E4.5 monitors from almost any source with a line output. Play games, listen to music, and even create content with a computer, media player, mixer, or other line-level source using the Eris E4.5 speaker’s rear panel, 1/4-inch TRS, and RCA inputs, and /front-panel, 1/8-inc stereo inputs. A loud, clear, front-panel headphone amplifier lets you work and play in stealth mode, without disturbing your housemates.
Accuracy Defined
Like all PreSonus speakers, the Eris E4.5 offers consistent, accurate listening, with the smooth and even frequency response that has made Eris studio and media reference monitors popular around the world. Their compact and powerful design makes them an ideal solution for any small space. Want extra-deep low end? Pair compact Eris E4.5s with our Eris Sub8 active subwoofer for a perfectly matched, full-range sound system that fits almost anywhere.
Music Hall Mini-Plus MM Phono Amp
The music hall mini plus phono pre-amp is a perfect solution for attaching a turntable to today’s audio equipment. It’s a low-noise, high-quality phono pre-amp designed to work with moving-magnet and high-output moving-coil cartridges. The chassis helps ward off the effects of stray magnetic fields and provides a safe quiet environment for the sensitive electronics it houses thus providing you with the best sound possible from your turntable.
Unique And Serious Sound Features
Hundreds of hours were spent listening to and developing this phono stage during which a couple of unique and serious sound features were discovered. The addition of cartridge load capacitance – a typically overlooked component, of playing MM cartridges. This adjustment allows you to fine-tune the pre-amp to more closely match the characteristics of your chosen MM cartridge. The trim-gain control – this allows you to boost or reduce the output of the pre-amp to get an ideal match in volume between the output of your cartridge, the volume level of the record you’re playing, and your system’s characteristics. This is an outrageously useful control and one that makes a magnificent improvement to the overall sound from your turntable and record collection.
