You get a Super 35mm 4.6K sensor with 15 stops of dynamic range, built-in optical ND filters, interchangeable EF lens mount that can be swapped for optional PL, B4, or F mounts. The camera offers Blackmagic RAW and ProRes recording to dual CFast or dual SD cards, and features an innovative USB-C expansion port for recording directly to external disks. In addition, this cinema camera features a massive set of external broadcast style controls, backlit status display, foldout touchscreen monitor, and much more.
Cinematic 4.6K Sensor
When it comes to image quality, URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 operates at a higher resolution and dynamic range that is well beyond traditional motion picture film. You get a 4.6K image sensor that captures up to 4608 x 2592 pixels. The sensor features a massive 15 stops of dynamic range and support for up to 3200 ISO, making the camera perfect for high dynamic range (HDR) projects. In addition, camera supports high frame shooting at up to 300 frames per second and even better color fidelity.
Built-In ND Filters
High quality built-in neutral density (ND) filters reduce the amount of specific types of light entering the camera’s sensor. The 2, 4 and 6 stop filters have been specifically designed to match the colorimetry and color science of the camera, providing you with additional latitude, even under harsh lighting conditions.
CFast and SD Card Recorders
When it comes to recording, URSA Mini Pro G2 has dual CFast 2.0 recorders and dual UHS-II SD card recorders, so you can choose the type of media that works best for your project. CFast cards are ideal for recording full resolution, 12-bit RAW files, while SD cards are perfect for recording 4K ProRes files or Blackmagic RAW files.
4-Inch Foldout Monitor
The bright high resolution fold out screen gives you a built-in on-set monitor, eliminating the need to carry extra equipment. The monitor simply folds out and pivots up and down, making it super easy to shoot low-angled or over-the-crowd shots. The screen features a wide viewing angle and displays crystal clear images so that you can accurately check exposure, focus, and framing.
Advanced Touchscreen Interface
URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 features advanced operating software designed to make using your camera faster and more intuitive than ever. All important camera functions can be accessed with a single tap on the heads up display, there’s an elegant digital slate that makes metadata entry a breeze, and a dashboard that uses simple tap and swipe gestures for record settings, monitoring, audio, camera setup, presets and LUTs.
Traditional Broadcast Ergonomics
Traditional broadcast cameras have the most important controls on the outside of the camera body so you can quickly change settings without having to take your eyes off of the action. Like the world’s best broadcast cameras, URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 features independent controls for direct access to the most important camera settings. Buttons, switches and dials are laid out in a logical order that makes them easy to find by feel while using the viewfinder.
Status Display
The camera features a bright, status display that’s designed to be easily seen, with or without the backlight on. The display shows record timecode, locked timecode and reference timecode, along with the current shooting frame rate, shutter angle, aperture, white balance, ISO and iris. When shooting in a dimly lit environment, simply turn the backlight on to see the screen. The backlight can be switched off for even more contrast, making it highly visible and crystal clear in broad daylight.
